Kanye West premieres new track “Wolves” while showcasing his shoe collaboration with Adidas at New York Fashion Week.
It makes sense for Kanye West to soundtrack his Yeezy 750 boost shoes with his own music and he has done just that.
The fresh drop of “Wolves” features the popular Aussie SIA and hip hop artist Vic Mensa and gives us insight into what we can expect from his seventh studio album. The track has similar bass lines to Yeezus and features melancholic lyrics but is less dark and more refined.
West is fresh off the press following his (almost) stage storm at the Grammys last Sunday, which was in response to Beck winning ‘Album of the Year’ over Beyonce. Although Kanye changed his mind at the last minute, his rant backstage has left a sour taste in many of Beck’s fans. Kanye West admitted he was merely throwing back to 2009 when he infamously interrupted Taylor Swift at the VMAs, and stressed:
“obviously Beck is one the most respected artists and respects artistry“.
Give “Wolves” a listen by checking out the Adidas collection video below. Track starts at 08:35. Don’t forget Ye’s hot collaboration of “FourFiveSeconds” with Rihanna and Paul McCartney.
