Lil Wayne tells concert-goers he’s signed a deal with Jay Z. Rocnation or Tidal?
Amid the Cash Money problems, Lil Wayne has created speculation after telling fans he signed a deal with Jay Z. Weezy was performing at KMEL’s Summer Jam in California when he made the announcement:
“I just signed a deal with my motherfu**in’ idol, Jay Z.”
Earlier reports suggested it was unclear whether Lil Wayne was talking about a record deal sign or his recently announced TIDAL deal. However, digital marketing curator and friend Karen Civil took to twitter to clear some things up:
When Lil Wayne said "I signed a deal with my idol Jay Z".. He was referring to his new deal with #Tidal.

The rapper’s new deal with TIDAL has already seen the release of a new single “Glory“. As a co-owner of Jay’s streaming platform, Wayne will release Free Weezy Album and perform an exclusive TIDAL X show for subscribers.
UPDATE: Lil Wayne’s manager Cortez Bryant clarifies to Billboard:
“The Internet and blogs took his words out of context. When Wayne was speaking about the partnership with Jay Z, he was speaking about his new deal as an artist owner with Tidal.”
