Kanye West Announces New Album Title

After 2014 turned out to be arguably the worst ever year in Hip Hop; 2015 is already shaping up to be one of the hottest. And today at 5:20 AM GMT (around midnight US CST) it just got hotter as Kanye took to Twitter to reveal the name of his seventh album, So Help Me God

So Help Me God marks the follow-up to 2013’s critically-acclaimed, yet polarising Yeezus. While no release date has been announced; Kanye suggested in an interview earlier this week with NY radio station Power 106.1’s show The Breakfast Club, that the album is “80 percent done” and will feature:

“bars, songs, cookout—music that just feels good … This album’s just embracing the music, embracing joy, and just being of service to the people”.

If early releases “Only One” featuring Paul McCartney, “Wolves” featuring Sia and Vic Mensa and more recently, “All Day” featuring Theophilus London and Allan Kingdom – which Kanye debuted earlier in the week at the 2015 BRIT Awards – are anything to go by, then this album is gearing up to be one of Kanye’s most diverse projects yet.

Kanye also shared a picture of what appears to be the cover artwork; we’re unsure as to whether this will serve as the standard or deluxe version of the album cover.
