Chancelor Bennett aka Chance The Rapper stars in a short film directed by Colin Tilley about a young man who after several failed attempts at committing suicide, visits a mysterious website that offers to do the job for him.
In an accompanying interview with Vice, Tilley speaks on how he and Chance first met (and subsequently ended up working together on Mr Happy) whilst on the set of Justin Bieber’s “Confident”
“We were shooting Chance’s part and we got to hang out all day and got into some really cool conversations”.
The short film depicts the various emotions someone who is experiencing depression and subsequent contemplating accompanying suicidal thoughts goes through. Vice offer the following description to the video:
Almost everyone has found themselves depressed at a point or two. Maybe in the midst of the depression you thought about doing something drastic—something life-changing—something that might make you happy. That could be nice, but it’s scary to actually take the leap and do it. Well, what if there was a service that took care of all the hard stuff for you?
